2018年10月，美国先锋音乐厂牌ESP主理人Steve Holtje受第八届OCT-LOFT国际爵士音乐节之邀，在深圳举行了一场讲座，题为“聚焦先锋与非主流音乐55年：ESP-DISK'的持续革命”，首次为中国乐迷揭开这个厂牌的神秘面纱。

半个世纪以来，ESP-DISK'出版了大量优秀的唱片，在自由爵士领域中有着极高地位，也备受中国乐迷关注。我们很荣幸地获得厂牌授权并选择五张经典唱片，制作成这个《ESP-DISK'在中国》磁带纪念套盒，借此向“音乐家至上”这一出版理念致敬。
